SNL Financial is the premier multisector-focused information and research firm in the financial information marketplace. SNL Financial collects, standardizes and disseminates all relevant corporate, financial, market and M&A data plus news and analysis for the following industries: banking, specialized financial services, insurance, real estate, energy and media/communications.

How to Get Started

1. Access SNL Financial through the library list of databases or through this LINK
2. Register for a password. Each individual user is required to have their own login id and password. The login id will be your Georgia State email (you must use this email address). The password will be emailed to you after complete the password registration form accessible from a link in the top right corner of the screen.
   

How to Access Off- Campus

1. Access SNL Financial through the library list of databases or through this LINK
2. You will be prompted for you campus id and password (same as Easyview).
3. On the SNL Financial page use your SNL Financial username and password to log into the database.

How to Ensure this Resource Remains Available at Georgia State

Databases purchased by the library and by individual departments are retained based on usage statistics and the value of the database to a range of research and teaching endeavors. Once you become familiar with this database (or any database you like) find a way to integrate the database into class assignments. This not only demonstrates a demand and value of the database at Georgia State, it also helps students gain exposure to important research tools.
